PC Crackle - Step 1

Paint Couture Crackle is a 2 Step system - be sure to Add Crackle - Step 2 to your order.

Step 1 is the size and Step 2 is the crackle. The size is applied first and will enhance the crackle.  Paint Couture Crackle produces a transparent glossy crackle that can be glazed when it is dry.  

Step 1 - the size can be applied over paint or even decoupage paper.  The heavier the product is applied, the large the cracks will be.  Allow it to dry for approx 30 - 60 mins or until it is tacky.

Step 2 - using even strokes apply the crackle over the top of the size (it can be tinted if you would like to add a bit of colour.  Leave for 8-10 hours (pref overnight) to dry completely.

If you wish, the following steps can be done to achieve an aged or vintage look.  Using a brush, apply Paint Couture Metallic Glaze (any colour) over the crackle, and wipe back with a lint free soft cloth.  The glaze will settle in the cracks.  Leave for 24 hours to dry completely. 

Clean up is easy with just soap and water.  Don’t forget to add a ‘Core Soap’ to your order!
